Having a close relationship with key suppliers and sub-contractors is viewed as an essential part of our oganisation, and therefore the company has incorporated a number of procedures into its quality management system for the selection and engagement of suppliers and sub-contractors.

The company maintains a database of suppliers and sub-contractors, each of whom are given an approval rating which determines their use and suitabilty.

The selection criteria includes;

  • Completion of quality questronnaire, and submission of their policy.
  • Completion of health & safety questionnaire and usbmision of their policy.
  • Completion of environmental questionnaire and usbmision of their policy.
  • Proven reord of performance and delivery of services.
  • Proven reord of high standards of quality.
  • High levels of services and backup, including the solution of any defects.
  • Competitive price and non-adversarial attitude.
  • Excellent technical backup and requests for information.
  • Good communications.
  • Profitable, financially sound and stable company.
  • Regular and significant volumes of business.
  • Site visit to premises and a meeting with personnel.
  • References from similar clients.
  • All suppliers and sub-contractors arre assessed for their capability to perform beforer being entered onto our approved sub-contractor and supplier database.

    Selection of sub-contracctor/supplier for specific projects is after careful consideration by the Contracts Manager with the final selection being based on;

  • Competence and quality of work/supply
  • Ability to meet programme
  • Price
